Finally after much hard work Marhabal secured an alliance with Massinissa

With this in place Maharbal decided that his 'friends' in Rome were having too hard a time and needed Carthage's help in defeating the Roman rebels, sadly however the rebels really did kill the messenger.

He swiftly created a taskforce made up of the army of Carthage (6 militia and 2 elephants) led by himself and was carried to Malta by 'Hasdrubal the Bald', victory over the two unit strong rebel garriosn was swift. However the provincial city of Malta held out until reinforcements under Adonibaal Baalid arrived from Oea.

A minor battle in Sicily between the scum then finished off the Roman rebels entirely.

So Malta had been seized and a small part of the Carthaniginan empire recovered, Marhabal was happy about this , but leading the troops had stressed him out and swiftly returned to Carthage to recover leaving Adonibaal Baalid in charge of a strong Malta garrison...

As Johan would say: "Rome wasn't built in a day"

but the whole world was created in 6 days.
if you can pillage or destroy a city in a day, wouldn't it be logical that you can build one in day?

A few more provinces would be nice, but one has to start small.

A nice steal there in Malta. Hopefully we can see some more civil strife in your neighbors.
