Cant install?

I try to install but it says

"Could not initialize instalaation. Could not extract Wise0132.dll to '
'C:\DOCUME~1\Gabriel\LOCALS~1\Temp\GLC58.tmp' CRC does not match."



I have NO idea what that means,

Dare I ask the foolish question of exactly what you are trying to install and on what Windows version?

Hearts of Iron (non-platinum), on Windows XP SP-2.

Do you have install rights on the account you are trying to install on?

Are you running the installation directly from the CD and/or are you doing so from the Autorun pop-up?

If so try to run the setup file directly.

Who is the publisher of your version? their logo is on the CD.

2coats; I attempted running the setup up directly, same error message.

Castellon; its a brown/maroon CD with Strategy First, Paradox, and Infrogames logos on it.

EDIT:

I've never had problems with the CD before, have installed it quite a few times on my old PC. On this new P.C I just installed a copy of Windows XP SP-2, OEM.

Use some windex and clean the CD.

My thought was to mention it, but you did first.

I have had issues installing some software that really should have none. Including "Commandos 3estination Berlin", which came with my video card. Soulbringer, WW3 Black Gold, War and Peace, etc, and others, have had issues where even if they installed, they simply would fail to load upon opening.

I would suggest a repair install of the operating system.

I used my CD to bring me to the Repair command line interface. After choosing the C:\Windows, it brings me to that prompt,,,, what am I supposed to do from there?

There was no option when you put the CD in the drive to Install Windows?
Or repair install, IIRC you should not be at a command prompt.
Or you could try typing setup.

I completed a repair install, nothing doing.

I did a google search, apparently it could be a faulty CD (which confuses me, as It never had a problem before).

Perhaps its the video game gods way of telling me to get HOI2?

Well I would search for an updated driver for the CD Drive first. Not that you should not buy HOI2 as well.
