Ghosts in the Machine...

I have not seen any one else report this, but this has occurred two times already for me. While at war with Poland and the Allies (me Germery) I was ordering my armor units to move, noticed that the number of armor units had grown, spawned in some way! I now have two Slovak pre-war armor units right now in my game without anything but a leader. They look like armor units, can be killed in combat, but move as fast as air units! I also had one German unit spawn a ghost too. I thought at first these were placeholders for the leaders when they lost a battle, but so far, I have won every battle with armor units. Now, I am going to find out if they can capture territories just for the hell of it. Image the possibilities of encirclement with the Flying Ghost Tank Corps. In two days these units could capture most of CCCP!

Almost forget, normal settings version 101.

I have figured out how they are created, so this may be working as designed. I have contol of my Slovak armies. However, the game will not allow me to merge same units as I can with my own. However, if I use the "Create new Unit" option and then merge two units together, the old leader now becomes a Ghost Tank. Now, if I can just get them to capture cities...

YES! The new Reich Secret weapon, the Ghost Tank Corps has been field tested in battle with fantastic results! The new weapon will take control of enemy territories as long as they are unopposed. They will also claim it for Reich, not for their own countries if they are Slovak or Hungarian, our Axis allies. We can give thanks to the French for the inspiration for this new weapon. When they could not keep track of General Rommel during the Blitzkrieg through France, they started calling him the “Ghost”. This got der Fuher astrologer thinking of the possibilities. Normally, der Fuehrer would receive instructions on how to conduct the war during the midnight séances from old Otto, but this time the instructions from the beyond were on how to create Ghosts. Interesting, most of the time when trying to use a German General for Ghosts creation, the world will crash to our Fuehrer und Reichskanzler desktop. Goebbels still has a paperweight memento of the Efile Tower still stuck up his ass. One bad side effect is that now all of the best Slovak generals (not that many to begin with) are now ghosts and cannot be recalled from beyond despite many tries.

Two days to reach Warsaw, that is impressive. I'll mark it as a bug because somehow I can't see it being a feature. :)

Quite a story!

How can you say this isn't a feature? ;)

If this were a Microsoft product, it would be! Right now, I have about a dozen of them parked in Warsaw since I will not use them in my future "Liberation" of Ukraine and the rest of the Soviet states.
