As I can see now, the only way to unlock doors in PA2 is manually with a key from a guard. But in PA1, doors would also be opened remotly by door servo's.
The doors can still be openend manually (unless it's a remote only door). I think this would improve efficiency and also security since the guards don't have to leave their position to open a door.
Besides door servo's, the pressure plates and logical controllers can also return in PA2, to improve the efficiency even more.
I haven't seen this suggestion before but I'm pretty sure this is highly desired since it was also mentioned in the PA2 livestream.
