I literally get to a point in the game (as with overture) where even though the screen flashes yellow or i look into an artifact it will not register as a save, really baffleing me why this is happening, if any ones got any solutions i would love to hear them. Thanks for reading

I have no sollution for exactly this problem, but you can try to enable and use quicksave. To enable that, you must edit two config files named default_settings.cfg and settings.cfg, the first one is in "\Games\Penumbra Black Plague\redist\config\" and second in "C:\Documents and Settings\username\Documents\Penumbra\Black Plague". In these files change value in "AllowQuickSave="false" to "true". Then press F4 for save and F5 for load.
