One line summary of your issue
Paradox Launcher Won't Start Battletech

What platform are you running the game on?
Steam

What operating system do you use?
Windows 10

Which version of the game are you running?
1.9.1

What DLC do you have installed?
Flashpoint, Urban Warfare, Heavy Metal

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
When launching the game through steam or via BattleTech.exe directly, the Paradox launcher won't allow Battletech to play. Selecting Play makes the launcher disappear for a moment, but it comes back again. Clicking Play doesn't work. I've tried opening the game directly from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BATTLETECH\BattleTech.exe as well. This attempts to open the game, but the launcher interferes and the Paradox Launcher is opened instead. To be clear, I just installed the game today for the first time. I've tried verifying files through steam and uninstalling/reinstalling.

Have you tried verifying your files?
Yes

Steps to reproduce the issue
1. Open the game via steam or directly from the BattleTech.exe file
2. Select Play. The Launcher will disappear and reappear again without loading the game.

This game is set up to be run from Steam or our standalone launcher only, you can never run it from BattleTech.exe directly.

Starting this game from the PLAY button in your Steam library does not use the Paradox launcher at all - I just tested this! I'm not clear what goes wrong when you do that?
