I've done this a couple times, but only managed to screencap one instance of this happening;

At the end of a Target Acquisition mission, there is an objective that states 'Await further instructions' or something of that nature, with a marker for your eventual extraction point.

If all 4 of your 'mechs are inside that point before the 'Await' timer lapses, the dropship comes in and picks up your 'mechs, marks objectives as completed, but does NOT complete the mission.

The end-result is a bug which has the game cycling through rounds, and is inescapable since the game believes it is always the AI's turn.
