Is there any ways to get multiple autosaves, or at least an autosave automatic backup?

After the game crashed during a save and I lost my save file I feel that it'll be a pain to try to continue without making sure it is possible.

I don't think so. However, since I sometimes have the same problem, I usually do some manual copies of the file.

Since it is semestral it's a pain to save all the time, specially when I am all immersed. I'll go do manual saves more frequently. But this is the sort of thing I wonder why isn't a feature like in every other pdx game.
