Assertain fail

Just installed FtG again and downloaded the 29 dec file and copied it over in the folder. But when I try to start I get a "assertain faild/gft palette.... missing .bmp

Does anyone know what this error is. It started fine from at clean install but after I copied over the patch it I cant choose anything. The mouse pointer is just at black dot.

Edit: Forgot to install the 1.2 patch before I copied the newest patch. I'll try again tomorrow.

If the error was:
"Assertion failed: Access denied while opening file config.ftg"
then you probably installed the game in C:\Programs... where the game needs administrator rights to run. See the Techsupport FAQ:
