Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Game randomly crashes after ~10-15 minutes of playing without any noticeable reason. It can happen both in tactical and strategic modes. It doesn't seem hardware related since system monitoring tools don't show anything out of ordinary.

Playing the game for 15 minutes waiting for error to occur.

There is no crash in this game recorded in that dxdiag I'm afraid. Has this always happened ever since you've had the game? Or it was okay up to some point?


Please go to .../Steam/steamapps/common/Age of Wonders Planetfall/ and run AowPF_debug.exe

When the crash next happens, go to C:/users/<UserName>/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Age of Wonders Planetfall/logs/ and attach here the latest game log file.

It is like that every time I try running it on my new PC. I tried loading save and then doing nothing but waiting for the game to crash. Log file is attached. Here is crash report dump name just in case: AOWPF_Crash_2022-01-10-21-44-39_903F0A28.tcd

FYI I am not with Triumph and have no access to those crash dump files, not any ability to read them. Whether they are still monitoring this game and forum after it has ceased development I have no idea!

This game has done this ever since you've had it on this machine, is that right? Or it was okay up to some point?

I see some problems loading saved games in that log, but no actual crash AFAICS. If you move all save files out of these places:
C:\Users\isy19\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Age of Wonders Planetfall\Profiles\769520EA-4EE2-421D-AA62-461E2CB5F429\
C:\Users\isy19\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Age of Wonders Planetfall\Profiles\769520EA-4EE2-421D-AA62-461E2CB5F429\CLOUDSAVES\
then start a new test campaign, do you still get this problem?


And What antivirus app do you use? Please Add AowPF.exe and AowPF_debug.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add them to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
