Lo all.

This thread is to cover the region of India in the AJFIFU

I am aware of several 'tribes' in this region which could be used as nations to help fill up the Indian subcontinent. The problem lies in the remaining availability of Culture tags. At the least INDIAN can be used for Indian (which will be novel, a tag actually representing its own culture!!). Another problem is a religon tag for Hindu

possible countries at start are:
Gujara (western India, quite large covers rajputana)
Valabhi (in province kutch)
Rashtrakutas (a dominant people in central India (deccan) who spread from 750AD)
Gauda (west of the gangees - bengal) palas more appropriate
Chalukyas (a central state, in decline)
Kalinja (East coast of India- orissa)
Pallavas (south west India)
Cholas (south east tip of India)
Pandyas (southern tip of India)

All depends on Tag availability

I would suggest the pagan religion, but isn't that specified as Slavic-only?

The Slavic 'religion' uses the HINDU tag
The Hindu religion has been asigned the PAGAN tag
and the Pagan religion has been asigned the BUDDHIST tag :wacko:

its all a little screwy.

I am thinking of making pagan = pagan
and making buddhism = hindu
Buddhism and confucism amalgamated into 'asiatic'

However, I will keep it as is for the moment (unless anyone wants to rehaul the religions? )
