I was playing as the 5th Portuguese Empire and was trying to take over China. This is a non-historical game. China was trying to subjugate the warlords. Some of them joined the axis and they all join in. The Kwangtang Territories declare war on China and USSR declares war on Kwangtang. China joins Comintern and Comintern is at war with Axis. I declare war on Quangxi Clique which is China's puppet. After about a month or so of war I get a message saying Portugal has been annexed or something like that. I look and now I am communist Portugal and am now a part of the Comintern at war with the Axis. I will keep an eye on this post in case there are any questions or you need my save file.
