I'm running v 1.0-beta-55 of the paradox launcher and can't update to or clean install Stellaris v3.0.3. The download quickly fails with a 404 error. I used to run 2.8-something, and 3.0.2 seems to install just fine.

I redacted the UUID below since I don't know what it's for. It's probably a resource/file id, but I guess you have server side logs..

2021-05-23T12:49:45.897Z - warn: Error: {"opId":"----","type":"error","Code":"error-downloading-patch","Detail":"Execute patch: downloading patch: server returned 404 Not Found"}

I've tried removing ~/.paradoxlauncher, ~/.config/*aradox* and ~/paradoxlauncher/games/stellaris, to no avail.

I also keep getting warnings about being unable to read metadata for dlc025_nemesis and dlc024_necroids, which I don't have. The other expansions are listed by their proper name, but these are listed as dlc02x_xxxxxx in the "expansions and dlc" tab.

That's an old version of our client, it is up to beta-63 now i think. Something must be stopping it updating. Do make sure all traffic to and from api.paradoxplaza.com and api.paradox-interactive.com is allowed through all your firewalls.

Thanks. I downloaded the latest launcher, which seems a bit confused about being beta 63 or 64.

This cleared up the dlc naming issues and printed some more debug info which helped me discover to the logs in ~/.local/shared/Paradox Interactive/ and remove that dir as well as /tmp/stellaris.

I still can't download 3.0.3 from scratch. I think these are the relevant bits from the log (had to change my log data a bit to pass the spam filter. I guess the api url is considered dangerous):

The references to stellaris-linux-32 are a bit disturbing, if a 32-bit version exists it wouldn't run great here, but I guess that's just cruft?
It's the same for 3.0.2, but that seems to download just fine:

My internet is horrible, so can't really tell if it'd run without letting the patcher run overnight.

I just updated to 3.0.3 on the Paradox client on Windows just fine. 3.0.3 would not install on Linux, but 3.0.2 would then I could update to 3.0.3 just fine. Weird stuff!

What happens now when you try to update to 3.0.3 ?

I've passed that finding on, thanks for the update!
