Fallout Realism: Vault 191
Hello and welcome to the continuation of my Fallout Realism Series Fallout Realism: 191. This game will be focused in a vault deep underneath New York City it will begin in the year 2295. I was inspired by the Crisis in the ____ series when developing this game and as such all players will be a politician or military leader of some kind within the vault. So here’s the scenario Vault 191 was created by Vault Tech as an emergency shelter for many of their stockholders in case the war began suddenly and they were unable to reach alternate forms of shelter. The Vault has ran as a democracy for many years with an overseer and even with functioning political parties. The overseer serves for life or until he or she resigns and upon his or her death a new election is called to replace him. The overseer may also appoint the Head Technician the Head of Vault Security and the Head Doctor of the Vault. Under these positions is the Vault Congress which resembles the American pre-war congress. It possesses 20 members and congress elections are held within the Vault every 5 or so years. The congress has the power to draft legislation and vote on it however all legislation from the congress must be agreed to by the president. Currently the Vault boosts just over 1,500 inhabitants and possesses a 100 man security team tasked with providing order and keeping the vault safe. Currently within the vault there is slight instability as another overseer has just died. Elections are starting up again and the congress must choose a new overseer from either among their ranks or from someone within the vault. The Vault has never been opened so the Vault Dwellers remain in complete ignorance of the outside world. However food rations are running low and people are becoming dissatisfied with their quality of living so something may have to change soon. In Vault 191 all the political parties are up to the players as long as they’re true to the lore that means having a communist party is a bit out of the question for right now.
So here's how things are going to work... sometimes I'll need orders such as when you people are planning revolutions or cleansing the congress or undesirables or... when the military be operating in the outside rolls. I will roll all inter-vault affairs but when it comes to contact with the outside world I'm going to make judgement calls. Anyways the rest of the time you guys are going to be legislating stuff in congress.
If there's an election for the new overseer it's the person who wins will be the one with the most votes from congress by the end of a deadline.
When congressional elections happen it'll be in part dependent on rolls but how each party campaigns also makes a large difference in who wins. If you are able to appropriately attack your political enemies and interpret the mood of the vault you are more likely to win then those who don't.
