Great! Does flag size represent army size?

Size and strength(capped at a certain level). I think it could be useful to use flags to at a glance see how a combat is going. We'll see what's used in the end.

It would be nice if fleets and armies had somewhat different icons. I have hard time guessing if those flags by French coast are armies or fleets.

It's slightly less awesome that it has to be rectified post-release though



Ooh, maybe you could use a countrie's naval ensign rather than country flag?

So instead of seeing;

I agree this would be cool but currently we don't have any flags for naval ensigns, and certainly not for every flag type(communist, fascist etc.). Maybe for an expansion though

Maybe so but they're very busy people, and the forum is very active and pretty soon there'll be nothing more to say in this thread and it will drift into obscurity. Unless one of them is kind enough to say they've already seen it and will bring it up/not bring it up as it's impossible?

I've seen it, but no promises for 1.2. We are aware of the issue that finding a state is a lot of work now though, so if this(or anything that simplifies it) doesn't get added to 1.2 it will show up in a future patch.
