Why does the pope think me a tyrant?

To get out of a non-matrilineal marriage I imprisoned my husband and had him excecuted accepting the -50 tyranny penalty I would get with all my vassals.
I was surprised to see the pope also having this penalty. None other outside my realm has it.

Well, I mean, it makes perfect sense that he would excommunicate you.

Oh that I don't mind (although he could have waited more than two weeks after he lifted my last excommunication).
But when the tool tip for tyrannical actions says my vassals will be upset it is surprising that the pope, who is not my vassal, gets the same opinion penalty.

I think in this particular case, the Pope had a right to be upset.

You know, just executing the guy instead of asking for the divorce for "proper reasons".

You should have assassinated him instead. Doing a 'Henry VIII' to get out of a undesired marriage isn´t viewed as ok by anyone and especially not the church.

The Pope (and I think all religious heads) is a special case, he will also get all tyranny modifiers.

The Pope (and I think all religious heads) is a special case, he will also get all tyranny modifiers.
