The goal is to have 7 players so that ALL the major powers are covered. This game, we had 5. So we left Japan and China to the AI. We decided on the Blood and Iron mod, though it seems to favor the axis to me.

ice_world -Germany Zhuge -UK Johan -Italy Pep -USSR Myself(BigX) -France

Ice defeated Poland in 6 days. He then took Denmark. There were naval and air battles in Skagerrak with no clear winner. Then, April 2, Ice_world launched Fall Gelb, attacking Belgium and Netherlands. By 22 April, we had this. By 29 April, France had capitulated. 2 Fallshirmjaeger divisions landed in the UK province of Hull, which was undefended, and after clearing the water of the Royal Navy with over 10 light carriers, ice_world then landed 10 more divisions in the first wave. By 1 July, London had fallen along with England, and Germany's IC is now at a staggering 533. The highest IC France ever achieved was 77.

The situation in Asia is still might be survivable for the Chinese with some foreign aid or help from Mao, though Japan is in good shape. And the USA and what's left of the UK really have their hands full.

If China can hold for 15 more months, they get a promotion. Both of these countries, along with Communist China are available for new players.

Almost 2 months of fighting, Germany is focusing mainly in the south where finally he opened a big gap
His heavily armed armored units are undestructible. Nevertheless, soviet loses in terms of lost units are not very high

In the air, after an intense fight in the skies south of Kiev, there is a balance of forces. Although soviet airforce controls the skies now (german air force not flying right now, probably recovering or saving oil)

German casualties so far in the eastern front (discounting the previous geman loses) ~400,000
Soviet casualties so far (counting the disbanded divs) ~1,700,000
I didn't check the italian or finish casualties, which are also fighting against Soviet Union
I've just calculated it (subtracting from casualties before the war those counted on August 15, which can be assumed to be most from the eastern front in that period):
Italians: 118,000
Finnish: 22,000
Germans: 397,000
Soviets: 1,700,000
 
As a Soviet player, I'd order Chuikov to pull back from Pripyat marches and Kiev, try to hold the line on the eastern bank of Dnieper, so instead of 5, I would need to guard only 3 cities. All those extra divisions need to be redirected to Ukraine ASAP.
Considering the Germans made a breakthrough, that means that most of their troops are currently in the south, meaning no new offensives in Belarus and Baltic. So, I would take at least 20% of all my units north of Minsk and redeploy them to Rostov.
As for the situation in the south, it is dyer. Hoth could get a green light to rush to Orel, and if Richenau somehow manages to gather troops to do the same, it is goodbye for Chuikov. That is why Chuikov needs to pull back, to prevent this possibility.
Rokossovsky could make a fighting retreat through Crimea, and if he sees a viable opportunity try to defend Sevastopol. If not, use the ferries over the Kerch strait, and rush for Rostov. The Black sea fleet could hold the crossing closed for the Axis.
I think the hardest tasks are for Zhukov and Gorbatov. Zhukov, however, can get some of Chuikov's retreating troops, and at all costs hold Hoth in place. If, somehow, Hoth breaks throug, I see no other option but for all Central front troops to pull back to Smolensk- Kursk line. However, it is possible to delay the Germans long enough for winter to come, as already by October 1st the ground temperatures drop below freezing. So that is the hope of the Central front.
Gorbatov is pretty much on his own, as all the troops are needed elsewhere. Perhaps with Rokossovsky's troops, and some of redeployed units he can hold Rostov and Kupyansk for new recruits to be deployed here.
With all that, Red Army could survive the summer and autumn of '41, and slowly prepare its own offensives in the winter.

Sunday's Blood and Iron WW1 game was kind of a contingency game, but has blossomed into a 6-player slugfest with no clear victor at the moment. USA, Turkey, and Japan are all in the war now. Russia has been defeated and is struggling with the Bolsheviks.

This is a TRP game with 4 players. we're still hoping to fill the other 3 roster spots: USA, Japan, and China. This is mostly a weekend game, though we played today. When the roster is present, we play that save. If it's not, we start a new one. This guy Ice-world is a force to be reckoned with. Catch more info on the discord server. Early July, 1941: Keep in mind, Commonwelth has over 20 divisions in Alexandria as well. My buddy Adolf convinced me to change the format of my invasion force and exchange 3 light infantry divisions(of a 6 division army) for 3 tougher Alpini divisions that had to be shipped from Venice. The men had recovered from a previous amphibious operation in Egypt and were ready.
And yet, during the wait, the original target of El Arish was reinforced. The landing was then redirected to Haifa, where the defending colonial garrison held just long enough for 2 light divisions in reserve to get there. While still in good condition, the mission was scrubbed, and the troops evacuated back to Rhodes.

Things got fouled up as well when the target of Port Said appeared selectable. Yet, perhaps for the lack of Italian amphibious or naval logistic tech, the fleets were not leaving port. In the confusion, the bombardment fleet 3 heavy cruisers/escort showed up late at the Haifa landing as well.

This game is on hold indefinitely unfortunately. For a better personal mp experience I had to -really only purge one player. But he had a couple people take his side -which is fine. The dude then hacked into my pc. I'm fine excising the lot really. They can finish this game. I look forward to new games with less toxicity. My server had to become more selective to maintain some modicum of an enjoyable multiplayer experience.

Discord links are temporary. So if you're interested, please ask me for an invite. Mine is a group of highly selective players, not very tolerant of any toxicity. We don't comb the files for every possible non-historic cheat either as it would ruin the experience. We just enjoy playing the game for a realistic experience that begins historically.
