Clans, Daring and Pyramids ( :p ) don't counter as well, but i think it's intentional as there isn't any reasonable modifier for these doctrines.

I thought "Adventuring" was Daring? If Astrology is on there then Animism should be as well, unless PDX intentionally made animism such that the AI wouldn't go through them.

Astrology gives very important and relevant zodiac traits which you can forsake (and later regain). What could be checked in case of Animism - spending cash on Rite of Passage when you usually didn't have control on your character?

Checking Animism or Pyramids would be nasty trolling from devs (Your ancestor won't be venerated because he didn't build pyramid and it doesn't matter that he's minor count vassal!).

Characters get a modifier after going through the rite but it is not a trait so maybe that is the reason.

I don't think that every doctrine needs to be taken into veneration account, especially that some doctrines are lame and we have too few AV bloodlines.

Well if players are pigeonholed into certain doctrines because the others are "lame" sure but lame doctrines and few bloodlines are bad design decisions imo. I guess it's too late now to worry about it.

It's hard to think about AV modifiers, if doctrines need fixing and rewards are mediocre.
