The island hopping campaign proved fruitless. As Freyberg's landing troops neared the coastline of Fukuoka, they painfully had to admit there was no beach in the area.
Freyberg: What the hell! How are we supposed to land? We must retreat to Okinawa!
Carr: And learn Karate LOL
And so, the Kiwi force heads back to Okinawa.
Freyberg: Bollocks... we were so close. There is literally no other possibility to extend our reach! There's no way we can attack Japan now!
Savage: HA-HA!! There is, Freyberg, there is! Finally the moment is at hand!!
Freyberg: ???
Carr: ????
Savage: BEHOLD!!!
Savage: At last the hour of the mutton transport plane has come! Freyberg, while you were playing with your ships, I have taken the liberty to
train a squad of paratroopers! They will land in Fukuoka, secure the port for us and then your forces can land!
Freyberg: Wow, excellent! But, they are still in Malaya...
Savage: ...crap.
And thus, the NZ transport fleet runs the gauntlet - AGAIN.

January 17, 1943
Carr: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Freyberg: FINALLY the Paratroopers and the transport plane have arrived in Okinawa! Why do I have to ship the paratroopers with the navy? It's a TRANSPORT plane, for god's sake...
Savage: Anyway, ATTACK!!
Carr himself takes the first jump.
Carr: WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Savage: HA, I guess they didn't expect THAT to happen!
Freyberg:
With Fukuoka taken, the transports move in and Freyberg secures the beachhead.
Freyberg: Very nice! Quickly, fan out and grab as much land as you can!
Tokyo is quickly isolated and defenders are crushed from above.
Savage: Wow, it must be really cold, if the cartographer says that even the ocean is frozen!
Freyberg: Is it, by any chance, the same cartographer who drew the map of Fukuoka?
Savage: ...
The last pockets are reduced...

March 1, 1943
Japan is under firm Kiwi control.
Savage: Very nice, Freyberg! But why not occupy Sendai?
Freyberg: I thought they would move their capital here and then we could maybe cut off the supply to the mainland... but it didn't work
Savage: Yeah, they relocated to Busan in Korea. Seems like the mainland supplies itself perfectly well.
Freyberg: Hmm. Still, with only 45 IC, the Chinese should be able to push them back, and they will crush Japan for us.
Savage: AHA! Freyberg! But that is exactly the problem!
Freyberg: The problem?
Savage: Yes Freyberg, the problem! If China gets its land back, they are gonna swarm us with troops! It's gonna be a nightmare!
Freyberg: Hm, so what do you suggest?
Savage: I was just waiting for you to ask
Freyberg:
Savage: Do you remember how, last year, I said we'd only send about half our troops for the Japan expedition?
Freyberg: Yes, actually. What about the other troops?
Savage: They are already underway, solving our problem..... you will see in the next update! HAHA! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!
