I have to be missing something, so sorry if this is a stupid question.
But when I try to create a mission with submarines, they don't save the Depth I assign them, and always revert to the Surface.
Even in the mission builder, you can set the depth to Deep or whatever, click on another unit, and come back, and it's back to Surface.
Help?

Open the saved scenario file in the text editor.
Find section which describes the unit you trying to submerge.
Change
heightabovesealevel=0
to
heightabovesealevel=-50
to submerge it to 50 meters.

The depth works for some subs at some depths in editor too. You can see if it works by setting depth, deselect the sub and reselecting, if its back to surface it won't stick, but if its still what you set, it will work. Some models works at some depths others subs at other depth, and some not at all. So wierd.
You can set the ones who work in the editor and then textedit the rest.

Lets hope Paradox release the code, this game would be awesome some time after it went open source. There are many smart people out there with time on their hands who would fix it up, and we could get hundreds of new usermade models.
