I just bought this game and started 2 new campaigns (East India Company grand campaigns). Now, we're starting with a cutter which should make a speed of 16 knots on the strategic map. It does so for a while (let's say 2 years of game time), then the speed of the ship drops to 11 knots. I've noticed the same thing with the schooner. I have a 2 fleets of 1 schooner each which started with a speed of 14 knots. Then both dropped, one at 10 knots, the other at 9 knots.

Even weirder, I changed the captain of each fleet, which brought the speed up to 14 knots each, but they dropped again when each fleet re-entered another port...

Has anybody else encountered this issue?
