((You had better just say you support the coup for TH :) ))

((Yeah I just wanted a good clear post with only the article in it because the rhetoric sits well with the situation! Anyway, to remove all doubt...))

FOR THE COUP!

FOR THE COUP!

Yeah, I got that - I just forgot to add it to the post, somehow... which is strange because it's why I posted that.

((You do realize that the CoS is a nonpartisan post, as in you should be giving Generalships to those qualified for them, not because they are of the same political ideology as you. We have already gone through this discussion on here numerous times. Besides, it's not as if these guys vote that way, else Sebastain would have been elected CoS if they did.))

((I feel like if I included some pro-Socialist sentiment in my platform I would've gotten quite a lot more votes.

Also, this seems like one of the most successful coups since the fall of the Empire.))

The honorable Subercaseux has joined us in transitioning from a Republic to a Democracy!

((Never say I didn't succeed because of it.))

((Exactly what King50000 needs to get the Fascist movement started! Even though we technically can't "start" it until 1905...))

((Fixed some grammar issues for you Seek.

And because I havn't voted yet,
President: Gogołów
CoS: Alvarez

Will fix spelling errors in a second.))

((I said start up, I never said make popular/take power with :p For all I care, you can be the fuhrer and I'll be Joseph Goebbels.))

If you could limit your slightly menacing future fascist ambitions... I would appreciate it. That goes for all of you. We'll get to fascism when it fires in the 1900s, and the discussion of the ideology will have to be treated with a certain amount of caution.

Umm, this is awkward...

I vote for Rivera in this election

((Do the votes of those backing the coups really count?))

That's a good question. We've never had a simultaneous election and coup before to my knowledge. I'll rule no, they don't count - either they win and enforce their demands, in which case the election is moot, or they lose and are disenfranchised. So the election is only relevant if they've been disenfranchised.

The below tally subtracts votes from Lyonessian, zagoroth, and OConner. To my knowledge, Maxwell500 hasn't attempted to cast a vote.

The traitors of the Republic are gathering like vultures in Santiago, in their attempt to enforce serfdom on the people of Chile. The Liberales have betrayed the democracy they have fought so hard to establish. The working man won't give in though. We will fight for a free democratic Chile, something the Liberales don't believe in anymore. And we invite everyone who want Chile to remain free to join the workers in our fight to preserve democracy.
