I love how moddable this game is.
I changed in misc.txt from 1.0 to 2.0 and now my best captains who run big India convoys can actually get to level 3 before they are retiring.
So my request is as follows, for the next patch, so everyone can have some useful captains, change the value of experience per money to 2.0 or 2.5. It's still quite a rare occurrence to get a level up with those values (even with 2.0 you need many runs with BIG ships to get your captain to level 3 before retirement) so it won't be too much a buff... but it will allow to at least see a few level ups in the course of the game.
The way it's now, captains get lots of experience in combat but close to none via trading. It's unjust.
