Well well, finally managed to finish my first V2 game. Played as Persia. My current domain is Persia and neighbours, some African colonies and Bali (which I conquered too late to successfully colonise the pacific
).
The first years were rather boring with trying to westernise... fought couple of wars with my eastern neighbours and took a bit of Portuguese Africa when they attacked Oman.
After I finally industrialised, I annexed Afghanistan and Abu Dhabi and fought a couple of wars with Portugal and Spain for more colonies (they are now in my SOI, along with China, Transvaal and Zanzibar). 97% of the population of Abu Dhabi is Persian, but the last of the Bedouins happen to be Bureaucrats (apart from a small pop of oil labourers) so I can't convert it to state.
Not much to tell of my actions really, was more of a game of colonising in peace unfortunately, but a lot of interesting events happened elsewhere.
As you can see there's an independent New England in America and the USCA disintegrated into Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.
USA bought Alaska from Russia but lost it to UK when Brazil attacked Bolivia and they ended up on different sides in the war. Brazil was constantly DOWing neighbours, first with the help of French, then with Britain (or Worker's Commonwealth) on their side.
Now Europe is very interesting considering that there was zero human involvement.
Austria was defeated by Prussia couple of times after which they completely exploded around 1860s and last of their provinces defected to Germany somewhere in 1880s.
Croatia was much larger at first, but Siebenbürgen is sort of a regional power and has kept warring with its neighbours now and then. There was also a large Ukraine which lost a war against Ruthenia and Siebenbürgen and was then eaten by Russia.
Albania conquered Dalmatia from Croatia and there's also an independent Catalonia.
70% or more of Russia has been constantly occupied by Communists for the past 50 years, but they're still an Absolute monarchy as the rebels haven't managed to take over the capital. Finland (and Ruthenia and Ukraine obviously) has managed to brake free.
In the end, it was surprising how little Britain manages to colonise although they started earlier than me and France (they were concentrated on something else but I have no idea what).
They have absolutely humongous army with nearly 6 million standing troops.
That's over 1000 regiments more than what France (nr. 2) has.
Anyway, interesting game, but the first and last 20 years were very dull as unciv. if you are not interested in WC.
