"Playability" of NWAC...?

So I purchased this game on Steam a few years back, tried it a few times then stopped.

I hear and see it has some issues. But is it still viable? I realize I can't save games yes?

Is it worth me giving it another go? I haven't had my hands on a decent naval surface warfare game in a VERY, VERY LONG TIME (I'm talking early 90s).

Please give me any info you deem pertinent, even (especially) the bad.

The game works for (very) small scenarios, but crashes (for many users) after a couple of missions, as the scenarios become bigger. This problem is furthered by the lack of a savegame feature. Sorry do disapoint you, but you might be lucky and have it run on your computer. Here is a video describing a possible test:

A shame, as I liked the game and even played around making scenarios for it (check out "Baltic Bash" )

It really is a pity that Paradox are still selling this game, because it genuinely is unplayable for the reasons given above.
