Me and my friends have played multiplayer for a long time (dozens of hours) without any sort of network lag (no desync etc.). The game only starts running slower as we progress through the years, but this is normal, as in singleplayer.
A couple of days ago we noticed one of our friends started lagging 3 days behind. This also meant that even on normal speed, the game was incredibly slow, and the rate of time progression became inconsistent. Like, a few days pass at slowish pace then it severely slows down for 5-10 seconds, and repeat. At first it was happening to one player (i.e. player A), then after restarting it started consistently and individually happening to one other specific player (i.e. player B).
We tried several things to try fix this issue. Restart (everyone) PCs, disable mods, reinstall game, make a new game etc.. and the issue persists, regardless of mods on/off, in-game year, or how many players are present. Even if changing host fixes this is not a solution for us as only I own all DLC (have not tried yet though).
I am curious to know if anyone has a suggestion for this seemingly random issue! I did not think it is an issue with the new patch because it was running fine on release.
