No music

Hello!

The title says it all: I managed to transfer all my EU2 files to my new computer a few years ago and it launches and plays like it should...except there are no music. I am on Windows 10.

There is music after launch when there is the quote by Napoleon, then I push Esc to go directly to the menu and music stops and don't come back when i start with a country. However There are all the usual sounds of the game.

Probably just a little something but I'm not particularly computer-competent.

You mentione that you have moved the files, so I guess you did not do a normal install - is there a music subfolder in your EU2 folder with files in it?
e.g. for me it´s
G:\Paradox\Europa Universalis 2\music

If so, is your music set to on? Look at the content of the settings.cfg file
e.g.

"SCREEN_SIZE_X 1280"
"SCREEN_SIZE_Y 1024"
"MUSIC_ON"
"europa.valkyrienet.com"

If no you perhaps disabled music ingame.
