Yeah, really disappointing. I think any commercial game should provide a minimum of playability. That bugs occur seems normality these days, but if the game is absolutely unplayable due to such a bug as the freezing one, it´s not okay! I could accept that with any lowpriced game or freeware, but the guys of Turbo Tape do earn money with that! What makes me angry is the fact that there´s no movement towards any solution. The only comments are "Don´t know where the error is." or "We´re working on that..." Hey guys, I´m sure you´re hard working while lying on the beach and enjoying some nice cocktails, huh?

As someone else said previously, there should be any future DLC for free as an excuse for all of the customers that have spent money for a literally non-working game!

No freezes when testing? What a lucky guy! Maybe it´s actually a XP-issue at the end, but if it is, the devs should speed up their efforts to fix it... I really don´t wanna change to Windows 7 only to have NWAC work...

It's not limited to XP, it happens in 7 too. I was eventually able to finish the mission by going easy on the time compression until there were no Russian units left (and editing it so the gators where a little further back). Also, what JanH said about the game needing to catch up is true; if it starts getting clunky, have patience and slow down on the orders (and do not use time compression). Worked for me at least.

Hi guys!

Sorry we haven't been very active on the forums lately. We've been working on the mission editor and also some bug fixing (including this one). This specific issue has proven to be very difficult for us to track down as none of our computers has the problem. We've also set up test computers (including Windows XP), but have yet been able to reproduce the issue in a consistent way. I can understand your frustration about not being able to play the game!

It seems as though some folks can reproduce the problem quite readily. Why don't you ask and arrange to gain access to their computers remotely so that you can see what you need to replicate the problem?

Things have come to a point where I sense only cosmetic intentions from TurboTape's part, when they show up here and say (for the 100th time) that "they're working on it", etc. Empty words. No significant, real progress can be seen by anyone.

For me, this isn't about the stupid game anymore. Its about fairness with the customer comunity. Paradox should be ashamed of being involved with minor companies such as this.

This is all starting to remember me the 'battlecruiser 3000' fiasco of 20 years ago, where the devs released an unfinished game, collected the revenue and disapeared later on.

It is your image that is at stake here, turbotape people. Had a little nice vacation, did you? So show some "cojones" and fix this crappy game of yours already!

I disagree the game is crappy. It looks fun .. if you can play it, he he. But I agree that going for vocation when you know many customers can't use your product isn't right.

Playing devils advocate - maybe theyve been working non-stop for 12+ mths, probably including weekends or parts of them and really needed to recharge their batteries!?
If thats the case then Im sure theyll come back with recharged batteries enough to do a good job of finding the solution(s).

Its unfortunate that the problem still exists, but they have indicated several times that their intention is to fix the bug, so lets given them some space to do so.
Whats more Im sure you guys have other things to be doing, other games to be playing in the meantime. Just think for us SotS2, the wait has been over 1/2 a year to get a game worth the time to play.

Or think about those poor trekkers that waited so so so long for star trek online only to see a champions online writ in space?

plenty of things you could be doing. like trolling for suckers in some MMO for lulz :p

Again, this isn't about the game itself. It is about sending a message to the developer community. TurboTabe is only an EXAMPLE of the insult to consumers that is going to be increasingly more commom if we keep this "ah, nevermind, that's ok" attitude.

NO, amateur devs, you can't just promise something that does not work and grab a couple of bucks from several thousand buyers, and then leave the problem well alone. NO, the comunity is not a gigantic bunch of suckers that will allow you to capitalize several thousand dollars and just leave it alone, because individually nobody thinks that 15 or 20 bucks is worth the trouble. NO, we won't accept that paradox's standard of excellence is used to lure us into being scammed. NO, WE ARE NOT IDIOTS.

Until someone from Paradox comes here and set things straight - even if it is just to admit that it's good name cannot be used for advertising a game that does not work for a large number of consumers - I am going to keep rambling about this. That nobody from Paradox's top brass has appeared to comment on the subject by now, is a cause for shame.

It is SAD that only a small number of us feel that way. Most people have embraced the "chill, its just a small issue" way out of the discussion, or the "give them time, poor devs!" argument. As if the matter were as large as an individually considered 20-dollars purchase. It is not. This is beyond such arguments: we are talking about a large business here, a profitable business, a business which reaches thousands of consumers. A business were trust and prestige plays a big role. I bougth this game mainly on account of paradox's image. Paradox is selling this game, eh? They must know what they are doing, those indies. Clearly I was wrong.

The silence from TurboTape on this matter (other than "we are fixing it, we swear!" ocasional messages) and, mostly, from Paradox, is oppresive.

There´s nothing more to say! I´can absolutely sign that, because that´s exactlyhow I´m seeing it. I really hope that the game will be cured soon!

+1 on that, space empires V is another example. No devs, no distributors, no one left to fix the bugs! Such a high potential game decayed slowly in years and still being sold. This shows how producers see consumers, we are simply cash cows for them. how can you explain an unplayable game still on shelves otherwise?

Shame on you turbo tape, and you paradox. Since your work is such crap, dont you complain about piracy, as real paying customers are the real victims and pirates laugh at us!
