Gonna start a mega campaign and one of the things boggling in my mind is how much editing I should do so that I can keep that balance of immersion but also not burn myself out with fiddling with every aspect of the game even if its small. The whole conundrum has been seriously triggering my borderline OCD
Like for example, if a nations name gets changed to an entirely different name (Ie: Rome in Eu4 becoming Two Sicily in Victoria 2), that seems reasonable to edit back to Rome as Rome suddenly turning into Two Sicily is unimmersive, but to what extent should I extend this? Should I rename all provinces to fit the cultures of those occupying them or give them reasonably immersive names? Should I scour say the namelist of a nation to find names that originated from contact with a culture that does not exist in my game and remove them?
Sorry if this is rambly but what I’m asking is; whats a good balance to take to editing converted saves so its neither horribly immersion breaking or a nightmare of endless editing?
