I bought the DVD collection of "Sharpe The complete Series" a while ago.
Now that I´m playing EU2 again I would like to add the music from Sharpe to my game but I have no idea how to do that.

I mean the song "Fourteen shillings on the drum..." that is part of the introduction of the series and is sung during several parts of the series as well by the irish sergeang of Sharpe.

Insert any music you wish into your music folder (Obviously)
Now there are several text files such as 14,15,16 ect. Those refer to what century the music will play in. Depending on when you want it to play all you need to do is type in the name of the music file and it should appear in game.

In my music folder are those 14, 15 etc and "frontend".txt files. However no 18 or 19 file for the later game. Sharpes theme would fit to the napoleonic time so 18th would fit. How does the game determine what to play in the 18th century without a 18.txt file?

Is only mp3 possible as all files are mp3?

Sharpe was an excellent series. If you fancy a naval equivalent (which is in many ways better, although the main character isn't quite as memorable) then Hornblower is very good.

O'er The Hills And Far Away is sang by one of the actors in the series, by the way.

Regards,

Austen.

I believe the game uses 17.txt for both the 18th and 19th centuries. I don't know if anything besides mp3 works, but you could give it a try. For a quick test, make a backup of frontend.txt, remove everything but your new music, and start the game.
