seems randomly, because not happen every time. both start scenario and load save game may meet this bug.

noted that if in the connection screen, the "player status" become "ok", this bug won't happen.

every CTD when the "player status" still is "connecting".

Still not been fixed.

Tested with FTG 1.3 Beta 13 May+JuneHotfix, mod WATKABAOI for FtG 1.3
Tested 5 times, all failed.

A: cpu i3 2350m mem 8g video intel hd3000 (newest driver from intel.com) 1366*768
B: cpu i5 2500k mem 8g video nvidia 560ti (driver: 314.22) 1920*1080
Clean installed ftg 1.0, patch to 1.1, then 1.2, then 1.3 Beta 13 May+JuneHotfix

My testing using mod due to mods have more CTD frequency than vanilla. All failed of 5 attempts.
In my past testing include 1.1+1.2, it's almost all failed in mod games(AGCEEP and WATKABAOI), so you can testing with mod.

Yes, MP Starting CTD.

We need test with mods due to mods have more CTD frequency than vanilla, I mean MP Starting CTD.
Sometimes vanilla met no CTD during my testing, sometimes met, seems randomly. But mods always get that CTD.
So we should better to test with mods.

We have to test both.
With vanilla, I do not get CTD's anymore, but I didn't test MP with mods at all.

It'd be probably best if you would PM me and we would try to test it so I could find a good way to reproduce it - because it is like with every software bug: you have to describe an exact way (step by step) to reproduce the problem, or it does not exist ;)

I used many computers during my past testing, mods always got that CTD, vanilla less, whatever 1.1 or 1.2 or 1.3beta with hotfix.
So it's easily to reproduce it with mods.

I don't suggest test with vanilla, because sometimes it won't get CTD in a time period.

If you have interest test with me tonight, I will public my ip when I back to home in this thread, about 3 hours later. Pls prepare WATKABAOI 2.05 (http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/...OI-for-FtG-1.3) first and don't forget the religion names fix in it.

1. keep ftg version to 1.3maybeta+junehotfix, use WATKABAOI 2.05, same checksum between host and client. (GG verion, clean install, then 1.1 patch, 1.2 patch if needed)
2. keep ftg settings to same if needed.
3. host cr a internet game.
4. client join the internet game.
5. host choose scenario 1419
6. host pickup France, client pickup Austria
7. host set victory to standard, game options to normal/normal/normal/on/on/off/on/yearly/normal/shield/on/on/on/on if needed
8. host click start

Don't know. It maybe just some sort of event that triggers only, if a human plays a country... (just guessing).

But it maybe an error in WATKABAOI itself, as I've already found one in the file WATKABAOI\GFX\Map\Units\T-ARMY C-CYP A-FIRE D-SW L-1.spr

But this is not the bug responsible for the CTD.

I'm sending MichaelM the debug log from the testing, even though I doubt it will help :(

Looks like the issue is that event 878642202 in randomhanseaticevents.txt fires before England has been fully loaded, and there is no monarch for the ADM stat to affect (not even a random one yet). It could happen to any country with one of the Hanseatic Kontor events.

I've posted another hotfix; give it a shot now.
 
No CTD again during my last testing with MP Hotfix 14 June.
Seems the MP Starting CTD finally been fixed.
