As I said before in other post I have been working a bit on a mod with certain changes with the idea of balancing it in mp and facilitate some research for certein models. Now we are going to test it and see how results.

Hi:

I continued modifying and adding some events, names, tech pictures and tech tree. Also I balance several parameters based on the games we have been playing the spanish comunity recently using the first version. Also say that most of the modifications are appreciable in sp.

Instuctions: The only thing you have to do is remplace the folders in the main game folder.

Hey, I gave it a look. Tested it for five hours, then went through the files to have a better understanding of what was changed.

Lowering penalties for lack of supply, increasing IC to TC ratio (even if only by 0.1; reducing Supplies production and the general Industrial Capacity won't counter-balance these changes, trust me) and lowering prices/production times for the most used units - that means more units for everyone involved. And that's awfully bad, as each unit needs to be handled by the engine and that eats the most of CPU time (approx. 18%). You can read more about it here. Even though the post refers to AoD - it's still the same law in the IC universe as well.

Adding more units through events isn't something a modder should focus on as well, as you did here. I understand it's focused on the Multiplayer aspect, where you want to have a lot of forces to crash around, conquer new territories and have fun, but your modification isn't very fitting for the Single Player mode, bro.

Plus, the archive you supplied says it's v1.1 (Forum), the unpacked archive says it's v1.4 and the changelog says it's v1.0. Dude... you need to double check what you're modding.

Notwithstanding, I applaud your revision of some events that aren't as much related to giving you free troops.

PS. It would be wise to change your thread's title to "BALANCED MULTIPLAYER MOD", as perhaps people aren't aware what MP means (manpower?). It can be done via the "Thread Tools" up here, next to the "Sort Posts" menu.

PSS. And register the game to gain on accountability.

Hi, I will do my best to explain the changes:

-First to say that no unit has been reduced in cost, the costs of most of them are the same or more expensive, garrisons are the only unit that is cheaper. I think as you that there is too many units in play.
-I also apply a IC penalty of 10% so it is necessary to increase tc ratio in order to balance it because countries like Germany would suffer too much.
-The only event that add some units is a new event for UK that create the 6th army for defence Egypt like Afrika Korps event for Axis that already exist. The problem in multiplayer is that every game Suez is lost by allies because is imposible to defend everthing against Italy and Germany together, so this may give allies a chance.
-You are rigth the number version is wrong, i make some internal versions before that, but I didn't release it so iI have to check it.
-As for registering the game, I buyed it long time ago in gamersgate and the license key gave troubles so I never coud active it in forum.

PD: The tech tree has changed but I didn't modify graphically arrows so you should check tree because maybe you will find a surprise.
