I can't decide, so I let you vote.

Witch flag did you prefer for Paternal Autocrat Austria?

Habsburg ( blank ):

Habsburg with Binnenshield:

Cut-Off Austria Hungary:
Have the first one as the paternal autocrat flag, but keep the others alternatives in the mod file.

I'd like to see my flags redone, so I can see the difference in detail/smearing in the shields and flags.

Vax: Thanks! That's quite an improvement. Too bad about the cutout not being oval though.

I also have big problems with the flag of Nepal and the Paternal Autocrat Mongol.
You should give them to me and I'll do my best.

Hm. I took it from Wikipedia, and it was round there. It's their fault, not mine. :p
What's the deal with that cut-out anyway?
Before the revolution of 1989 Romania was (formally) socialist country and had a CoA in the middle of the flag. The revolutionaries cut out the CoA from the flag to make the original plain tricolor. After Ceausescu had been deposed and executed, the People's Republic of Romania was no more and the plain tricolor of Romania was restored.

So this "holed flag" became the symbol of the revolution.

Well the holed flags were used previously as well. I.e. the Hungarian flag with cut out coat of arms was the symbol of the Hungarian revolution in 1956. They were usually used by the Soviet Block countries when they revolted against their master, the USSR.

Yes, I knew that. However the Poles or the Czechs couldn't cut a hole in their flag even if they would like to — there's no CoA to cut! :p

I thought that since I have been getting messages about some of my older links to the "V for Vandetta/Norsefire England"-addon not working, that I would inform people that I don't keep any of the old files laying around in separate links, but instead I include all of those I made in the latest download link for the addon, and here is a link to the newest version of the addon with new ministers: Click me for Norsefire England

Another thing: For Manchukuo, the Chinese Imperial flag would work as well, since Pu-Yi was Emperor of China.
I could make an flag change event where Manchukuo gets cores on all of China, is renamed Qing Empire/Chinese Empire and gets the Qing flag, while retaining the normal Manchukuo Paternal Autocrat flag as a selectable option.
And it would be interesting to see Fengtien Clique flags as well.
I'll see if I can create some for them.

@ RRT877

Big fan of the mod here, I was wondering if you have made any headway with the issue of counters. Playing the latest version, nation-appropriate counters still do not appear after the "Winds of Change" event. As someone who is extremely accustomed to counters, it is rather awkward for me to play with sprites, yet it is necessary in order to actually be able to tell which armies belong to whom.

Keep up the great work, though. I have been thoroughly enjoying the mod.

Well, the problem is that the command adds the extension to shields/flags/counters of the country TAG,as you can see...
-> type = flag_ext where = TAG [which = "string"] # where – change flag of TAG; which - add that string to flag/shield/counter name and skin folder; use empty string ("") or no skip to clear.

I solved my problem with counters copying the counters of the country I'm playing and renaming it according the possible policies.
i.e: playing as Brazil I went to the folder pallete and copyied the counter_bra.bmp and renamed it as counter_bra_len.bmp.
Of course that's not the same thing as have custom counters (that's why I've downloaded some) but it's better than don't have any.

Actually the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 did cut out the Socialist CoA from the Hungarian flag. The difference is that the Romanian CoA was cut out using an oval, as the CoA was taller that it was wide.

Hi guys, do you remember the ChangeTAG stuff?

Well, I did something, but (of course) it need more testing.

The decision below shall create Scandinavia.
If it works fine (it worked to me), I'm planning do the same to Gran Colombia and Centroamerica.

Thanks Leonaru for the original code, that I changed to fit in DH Full.

As you can see, I used the event ID right after the last one listed in the Flagchange.txt (from version beta 1.4).
Just one more note: I'm very far away of beeing a coder, moder or such thing. Just understood something about the scripts and like this kind of things.

See the decision:
