Mac version of CK and beta patch

So there is a mac version of CK1 on the app store for mac and I recently got it. I want to put the beta patch on (the game comes standard with 2.0) but when I add the corresponding files in the patch to the corresponding files the game doesn't respond with the (2.1) on the menu. Is there some other step I need to do to be able to get the game to recognize the files?

Err..i have no clue about Mac stuff, but i don't think you can simply use the PC patch.
If so you would need to overwrite the old files, not only add it to the folder somewhat.
Anyway..
