1. Be non-hellenic pagan (hellenics cant subjucate)
2. Be a duke (cant subjugate duke tier hierocratic title if you are king tier)
3. Reform religion
4. Give your head of faith land within your realm capitals dejure kingdom
5. Adopt back to the old religion
6. Use your one time subjugation CB or use the become king/queen ambition (need tribal or elective gavelkind succession)
Bonus: if using "become king" ambition trick also subjugate the recently formed holy order (use step 4) for a personal army (10k free stack anyone?)
7. DONT ABANDON YOUR OLD RELIGION FOR NOW OR YOU BECOME A THEOCRACY AND THAT IS GAME OVER!
8. Now this is the hardest part, either:
a. claim byzantium and change into Imperial Government
b. adopt chinese imperialism and Chinese Imperial Government
9. Convert to your reformed religion to enjoy the perks of being a head of faith
10. Enjoy infinite excommunications (as long as you have 150 piety that is)
Unfortunately you can't claim titles, divorce nor request invasions because you can't interact with "yourself". Honestly this isn't worth just that it is possible.
It is also possible to be (and stay as) the Pope if Chinese or Byzantine Imperial government and if you somehow got a claim on the papacy (dunno how tho).
