In my current playthrough (Child of Destiny), I have conquered Rome and vassalized the Pope. Then, using another obliging vassal, I took all the Pope's holdings away. Subsequently revoked the titles from my obliging vassal and ended up with all the Papal Lands for myself and a landless Pope who answers directly to me and serves as my Court Chaplain. Yay!!!--right?
Here is my problem: The County of Rom (Roma) is controlled by me through a castle holding (b_tusculum).
The bishopric of Rom (Roma) itself is ruled by a bishop (not the Pope) that I appointed after I took it from the Holy Father.
This is what I'm seeing now...
As you can see, the bishopric of Rom, which is in my capital province, is also showing up in my Laws section.
I do have secular investiture on for both my Empire title and Kingdom title, but why is Rome the only one showing up in my laws screen allowing me to "nominate" a successor? I also get a notification letting me know I can nominate a successor just like I do with elective monarchies.
Why is this once bishopric showing up in this screen and giving me notification and not the rest of my vassal bishoprics? Is this a bug?
You can see below that Rome still shows up as usual in the "Your Bishops" screen where I may nominate a successor for it as well as the rest of my vassal bishops. It's overkill to have ONE bishopric in my laws screen AND in its normal place as well, right?
Thoughts? Is it a bug or am I missing some larger point or intention by the developers?
