Or will it split the Papacy and the Kingdom? Pope is my vassal and I'd love for him to hold all of Italy. 
If I push a Pope's claim on Italy will the Papacy inherit it?

If another titke becomes his primary, i think that papacy adopts the succession laws of the bew primary title as long as papacy is not primary, not really relevant, but could be of use to you
