How Do I Stop These Guys Going Independent?

I thought I was safe from this with the imperial crown to hold it all together in the same way a King can hold dukes together after inheritance. Just tired of fighting unification wars. All the kings are pretty loyal to me since they just got their crowns. or is it because I didn't make enough crowns for the empire?
I handed out the titles for Vladimir, Novgorod, and Lithuania, created Ruthenia and kept it. i have the lands for Estonia and Chernigov but didn't have the money.

Change succession law to something that isn't gavelkind and you'll be good to go.

If they like you/your heir they're less likely to go independent but in short you need to reform and get out of gavelkind asap.

trying but can't. i accidentally gave one of our holy sites to an infidel and his idiot liege won't just revoke it. and Cold Ones are really active so moral authority is stuck in the 30's. every time I do something to push it up, I see where cult activity has countered it.
was gonna raid and build temples but the damn boats cost too much so i'm hemorrhaging money every time I do.

Maybe convert then? It's obviously not ideal but you can always convert back at a later date when you have all 5 holy sites.

If you are willing to surrender and convert, do yourself a favor and convert to Muslim. Muuuuuuuch better religion to convert into as it immediately shifts you to a much more stable Open sucession. In comparison Christianity/Indian/Zorastrian/Jewish (aka fuedal gov type) you will still be stuck on elective gavelkind.
