Figured this was better here since the videos suit the time period.

History Time is a Youtube documentary channel with well made, presented and detailed videos covering Anglo Saxons, Vikings, Normans, Caliphates and much more.

I find this a great companion to CKII when you have had enough or want a break from the in-game music but still want to immerse yourself in the period.

Sharing for those interested or those who might have missed this channel.

i'll vouch for this channel. it's roolly good...

Just checked it out based on this recommendation. Glad I did! It's got some really interesting stuff. Never knew about Aethelflaed of Mercia for instance.

(My personal bias in historical documentaries is the 70s/80s series In Search of the Dark Ages, several episodes of which cover the 769-1066 period.)

And that makes you realize just how way off your world save states are when compared to actual history.

And, "Oh yeah, I know about (insert this group or this individual here) from CK2, where I..."

Yes, I've enjoyed those as well. They're also up on youtube for anyone interested. Though he does call actual modern people peasants on a couple of occasions :D
I'm not sure if it's intentional or just habit.

YouTube did ban many history channels on the last banning spree, so better don't get too attached to your channel.

And I will not follow your channel, for my YouTube account also got banned on last banning spree (for nothing basically, as my last upload was 5+ years ago, I mainly just listened to music and watched science vids), so I don't have the ability to follow anything there anymore.
