Got the Mongol invasion game rule set to historical but it's 1238 and I still haven't gotten the initial event. Am I forgetting (or unaware of) a game mechanic or should I make a bug report?

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
They do not invade, if another character creates the Mongol Empire. Maybe that was the case at some point?

To be honest I was wondering the same thing. I don't think I've ever seen a regular nomad nation form the empire before though.
I have the same problem, Mongols aren't showing up. However, there's no mongol empire, I checked. I don't own HL, but I suppose that means that Mongols will be tribal?
Hmm, seems like it might be a bug after all.
EDIT: Made a bug report, now we play the waiting game.
