So, I started a game as Erik the Heathen. I managed to inherit Mjölnir in the first 2 years of thegame (2 assasinations due to it being owned by my vassal). Now I have a problem though: Andvaranaut is owned by a barony level Priest in my capital. I assasinated the previous holder (because no heir was shown I thought I'd inherit), but just some catholic dude (I pretend to be catholic) got the holding and Artifact. How can I get my hands on it?

Thanks in advance

I'm always afraid to use it as a norse due to the health penalty. Especially since for much of the time your taxes aren't that great anyway.

If you imprison and banish does it give you the artifacts or just the gold?

If you banish an unlanded character, you only get their gold. They keep their artifacts.

The only ways to steal artifacts in vanilla are: (i) siege and battlefield events (highly RNG-dependent); and (ii) if an unlanded character in your court has an artifact and dies, there's a 50% chance that you will inherit it.
