Version: Ie which beta version.
Action: What did you do, in as much detail as possible when it crashed.
Reproducable: yes, no, how?

And if you CAN, and it reproduces or shows the problem, ZIP the savegame, and attach to this thread.

I don't know if I should post this in the mod section, in bug reports, or what...

I've been playing DVIP off and on for the last several months as the DoApulia>KoNaples 1066 start with little or no problems.

Recently I've tried playing as Byzantium from the 1337 start and Nicea from 1204 start, and I've been getting frequent crashes.

as nicea 1204 start, happens a short time after I start from my last save.

Version: 2.1 with DVIP; I posted pretty much what I have above this there, and all I got in reply was "Vanilla Issue".
Action: Time will pass, then the game will Crash to Desktop, with the error message that tells me to chech the logfile and report the crash
Reproducable: Happens frequently, but not 100% of the time upon reload from last save.

I've been reading the other posts here, and I see that there is somtimes a problem like this caused by a character without a proper dynasty tag having a child? If that is the case, how would I go about fixing that?

I guess this is the right spot for me. Downloaded and installed CK+DV, then the Beta patch and DVIP. Now whenever I pick a leader and select start campaign I get a black screen with the music playing, but nothing loads. These are the error messages when I've been trying it:

Any solution or am I going to have to completely reinstall? It happens every time I go to load it, regardless of which ruler I pick.
 
Well I have completely re-installed DV and patched it, then tried to load from there and now the error I get is as follows:

It is indeed reproducable and I can't get into a game at all.

I am afraid this problem is unsolvable.

Are you sure that you have installed the latest beta (that of october 15, 2008) since in one of the beta-patches this crashbug was supposed to be fixed.

I somehow only have trouble in multiplayer. Playing single player is as stable as a concrete wall (without any earthquakes :p)
 
Fatal Error

I have CK + DV + DVIP & Add-on. Game crashes as soon as I try to play with the additional 1204 scenario. I can't even save the game, as soon as I click to close the pop-up, I get the crash error. It only seems to happen when I load the 1204 scenario.

If Steam should not have the latest beta patch version of DV included follow this instructions:

and don´t install games in C:\programs... in Windows 7 or newer
