my game crashs on the loading screen for initialising maplogic. the error says file exception in discfile.ccp, line: 433
i have all of the hearts on steam and this is the only one that wont work. help please!

What would be a good brigade to add to the Light Jagers to improve their firepower without ruining their whole bonus? I'm currently building them with 88 Flak, but I wonder if that gives large penalties or if it's bearable (not too big and can still perform greatly in their specialization).

So I returned to play a game with this mod, and with 'Hard' difficulty set from start. Wasn't that much of a challenge at all, I crushed the Soviets again, this time before September 1941. And not because I'm that good of being a armchair general playing a computer game, but because the game simply is broken. After initial start of Operation Barbarossa the Soviet counter attacks quickly dwindles down to nothing as their units gets crushed and are not replaced. I loaded a save as Soviets to take a look and what I see is that they build... almost nada. Just one single escort for their now non-existent fleet. Manually activating the theaters build make the AI produce units again, but they are very simple setup, just 3xarmor, 3xinfantry, 3xwhatever. Maybe loading the Soviets before the op start and give the AI a good kick in the rear will help the problem. Or maybe not.

Finally I found this, the new version for FTM. Why you do not post this new version to the Steam?
Waiting for the final version? We need a 'can use version' first.

BTW, your mod is awesome.

To the poster worried about waiting to build up the necessary percentage of troops to start Barbarossa: At April 1, 1941 or so, you get one of those decision that you can choose, called "barabarossa". Just click it and you are at war with the soviets. There is another decision that will boost your attack, etc., now that you are at war. Wait an hour after starting the war to attack or the soviet troops may not take the org hit.

To the poster saying the assault on Russia was too easy because the Russians were not producing any troops, Ive not found this to be the case. The Russians created a few hundred divisions out of thin air when I was attacking in Semper Fi. I'm a month or so in a FTM very hard campaign, and killed every enemy troop near the front line. Soviet troops are beginning to reappear, and since I'm now facing -72 percent on every combat (-40 for very hard, -32 for the uber territory pride bonus), I'm not so sure how its going to go.

I got DIG off of gamersgate and when I try to install it it says HOI3 not found? Can anyone help me? I asked on gamersgate but I''m not having any luck. I Have FTM patched to 3.05

I got the HOI3 collection off of gamersgate too.

I've had the same problems. As far as I can see DI:G doesn't acknowledge the Collection as a valid Semper Fi install. I bought the Collection instead of FtM for ease of re-install so I've managed to circumvent the problem by installing a different copy of HOI3+SF and then installing DI:G over that, then move the DI:G folder to play on top of the Collection.

Once installed it works fine, as far as I can see the only problem is when DI:G checks for a valid install.

I see. Except I only have the collection, so I have no way of getting this to work?

To DI Players :

Has someone else problems with supporting his troops , even he has enough resources of everything ?
And support through and into friendly countries even impossible ... have to give up Spain , as none of my troops are supported there ...

is this a problem with HOI or with DI (too many troops or anything else modded ?) ...

aaahh the AI hasn't that problem ... so once again AI cheating ?

Try this.

1/ Install HOI3/Semper FI.
2/ Run the game at least once, save a game right at the beginning, and exit the game.
3/ Check if you can install DIG now.

FYI, I got HOI3/Semper FI/DIG through Steam, but bought For the Motherland at Gamersgate's (because it was cheaper).

When I recently reinstalled HOI3/SF, FTM wouldn't let me install it right on top of it, pretending that it couldn't find Semper Fi. I ran HOI3/SF once, saved a game, exited, and voilà : Gamersgate's FTM suddenly acknowledged Steam's SF.

Probably some registry-fu at work again.

It might just work for you as well.

I see. Except I only have the collection, so I have no way of getting this to work?

How come that the FTM version of this DLC is still in beta, almost one year after the release of the expansion ?

Do you intend to provide support for your DLCs over time, or should I consider you're pulling a Bioware on us with Stars & Stripes, leaving your previous DLCs settling in the dust ?

FTM VERSION

Beta version of Dies Irae. Use at your own risk (and make backups!).

- Install FTM and patch 3.05
- Be sure the DLC installed

there is a big FTM patch incoming that DD is working on (3.06) that completely rebuilds the map and this is likely why the patch isn't "official"

as to continued support, i wll use DiG as an example, DD had no official expectation on him to make it compatible with FTM, he did that off his own back for no extra pay so i would say extra support is rather likely once the patch arrives

As far as I am concerned, DIG is developed and published by Paradox Interactive, and so is FTM (and its subsequent patches).

I bought the DLC on Steam, and I just double checked, the information above is exactly how it appears on the "Hearts of Iron III Semper Fi: Dies Irae Götterdämmerung" Store page. One may notice that nowhere it's said that it shouldn't be compatible with the latest version of the base game, aka FTM.

Therefore, as much as I may have TONS of sympathy, admiration, genuine gratitude and patience when it comes to modders that accept to share their fine work for free with the public, as soon as they go P2P, I enter a whole another world of interaction with them : we talk business, and only about that.

I am sorry, but my € don't auto-magically appear in my pocket because I somehow managed to convince my boss to wait for 1 whole year before my work was done. One is either serious with their job, or one is not, and I wish to know where the DEV of this mod stands.

Otherwise, I may just want to look elsewhere next time before buying/recommending a game (or its DLCs) to someone, as I've learned to do with EA/Bioware (and others).

It says it's a beta because FTM patches are not done. It will be a finale patch once FTM has its finale patch.

Beta means you will have something better in the future. Finale means I won't work on it anymore. This is why I say this is a beta. You had something like 7 patches with new content and stuff since the release of DIG.
I don't want to be rude but your well earned euro is well earned for me too. ;)

That's all that I wanted and needed to know, and I thank you for your confirmation.

I will eagerly await the patch for DIG then once FTM 3.06 goes live, and even look into your other purchasable DLC since you seem to care about keeping your DLCs up to date (playable over time for people who legally purchased them), unlike other companies with less professional self-consciousness.

Devildread I realize it’s a little late for suggestions, but I do have one. I have played DIG since it came out and I love what it has done for the game, but I have noticed with all the extra events that help Germany, France seems to get steamrolled too easily. My latest game I limited my production by not going over full mobilization and I spent larger sums of IC on providence improvements to try to limit my army, but France fell just as easily. I remember in SF games France was always a risky invasion and a hard fight and I would like to see more of that again. I thought of two changes that might make this possible when you patch DIG again. First if France’s starting oob is changed to include garrison divisions on all the maginot line providences it would free up the regular army for the AI’s disposal. My second idea is to include an event for England that is triggered by the Danzig or War event. If war fires England would get an event that would create the BEF and automatically deploy the force in Northern France. Historically the BEF was roughly 100,000 men so the event should create roughly 10 British divisions in France. This event would cause a manpower/IC/possible supply penalty on Britain for an X % for an X amount of time to replicate rapidly fielding an expeditionary army. I hope that these two changes would make the fight for France more challenging and give the player a reason to attack through the Ardens in hopes to cut off a large British/ French force. Do you think this could be possible and have the desired effect?
