Darkest Hour crashes in the loading screen, please help!

I recently got Darkest Hour on sale on the steam store because I had heard it was like a more complex HoI4. However, when I attempted to run it, it did a CTD when the loading screen bar had reached full. I've already tried uninstalling it, rebooting my computer, trying all the fixes that applied to me on this forum, but none have worked! Nothing helps! Can someone please help me?
