D2D v. GG Download

What is the difference between these two?

I live in the US, I've used D2D before, but had never heard of Gamers Gate.

Thanks for any help, really looking forward to getting this game. Just heard about it and have played the 9.6 release last couple of days, great stuff!

Use GamersGate! It's run by Paradox, and it's a pretty good service. (I've never used D2D before, sorry).

Or download it from taleworlds, get it straight from the source, plus you can buy a serial key there, and the money will go to the people making the game.

I'd use d2d - gamersgate gives me nothing but grief.

Use Taleworlds and then your serial key - the keys from GG work too if you are having problems with the GG downloader (Vista or novice users - for example).
