I know you probably do not support Fedora, but I think this error is kinda severe and will most certainly reach your supported Ubuntu if it is not fixed.,
When choosing a character after selecting e.g. "new game" and pressing start, the game loads, but when the map should be displayed I get a black screen.
error.log shows this:
```
[00:05:14][gfx_vk_master_context.cpp:1982]: Gfx error: _Queue.waitIdle() returned: ErrorDeviceLost
[00:05:14][pdx_assert.cpp:619]: Assertion failed: _Queue.waitIdle() returned:
```
So I assume it has to do with a new mesa aka vulkan driver version (?)
As said above I am running Fedora 40 with these mesa drivers:
Graphics:
Device-1: AMD Navi 31 [Radeon RX 7900 XT/7900 XTX/7900M] driver: amdgpu
v: kernel
Display: server: X.Org v: 23.2.6 with: Xwayland v: 23.2.6 driver: X:

Since it also could be a video driver issue, I also opened a bug report for the amdgpu driver here:
