The Knautschlings - part 19
The infidel and me
Sverker Knautschling does not understand how much it would pain his grandfather
Waldemar, were he to witness that his heir and grandson marries a muslim woman.
Only god knows what kind of strange fetish it is that would lead Sverker to a decision like that.
But this is not the only time poor Waldemar´s legacy takes a hard blow.
The following news might be shocking to you my dear readers, especially considering that
it comes this soon, right at the start of this chapter.
So please take your medication before reading further, for I do not want to be responsible for
your heart attacks.
A mere ten years after his crusade the Fatimid Calipha unrightfully annexes
the Kingdom of Jerusalem into his personal demesne again.
Rolf Knautschling, King of Jerusalem has to flee to Denmark
where he gets appointed diocese bishop and apparently does a good job before he will die
only some years later.
But after Sverker´s first heathen wife Duha gets murdered by a schizophrenic running amok
even Rolf can not persuade Sverker to not marry a muslim woman yet again. The name of this
one is Maria and she has at least certain appealing qualities to her.
But please, Sverker, for the love of god just let some good catholic woman dress up as muslim
to satisfy your strange desires !
Your unholy unions will inevitably bring you tro..
...uble.
See ? Now your oldest son and heir goes on to live on an island in the Persian Gulf.
You think that will not be a problem ? Well, I do.
It seems that the pope has not yet heard of Sverker´s muslim fetish for
he still listens to his advice.
When Polaria gets partitioned by an overwhelming coalition consisting of all of it´s
neighbors save Denmark
namely Croatia, Russia and Bavaria, Sverker urges the pope to excommunicate
the two catholic kings involved in this travesty. Every king has a divine right bestowed upon
him at birth to rule his lands and people. Or at least that is a popular belief at the time.
Stripping the Tilius king from his divine right thus clearly is against the will of god.
Military actions to aid Polaria are also considered but soon dismissed as the
Danish chancellor reveals proof to Sverker that Polaria thanked Russia with a
stab in the back for helping it earlier.
Wait, what is that ?
Your son and heir whose dead mother was the first in your sick row of shiite infidel wifes,
who is living on an island in the Persian Gulf surrounded by infidels,
who is receicing a religious education by infidels,
that son has now converted to a false faith ?
Gee Sverker, I really did not see that coming...
But despite liking their women a little bit too much Sverker does not want Denmark
to be converted to shiite islam. So he orders some assassins to kill his son.
They are successful.
And with the sale of Öystein´s island to the local king
this chapter of the Knautschling tale ends.
What will the future bring ?
And will Denmark´s recently independent new neighbor Finland be mentioned in the next chapter ?
That, my dear readers, will be cleared up right here when Sverker´s story continues.
