Can' install EU3 stops at 43%

So i actually got this game last year but didn't bother playing this because 1. I was quite busy 2. the installation didn't work

so today i decided i will try to install it but still it seems there is issue with installation. It seems that installation always stops at 43% saying

component transfer error

File: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis III\gfx\cityview\objects\latingfx\western?stormsHouse_cm.tga
Error: The file name, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect



I thought that my CD copy was corrupted or something so i even borrowed a CD from my campus (yes our campus has game library)

It will be really awesome if anybody could tell me how to solve this problem.

Should i upload my dxdiag as well?

You should post this in the technical support forum and what version of EU3 you have? Is it just EU3 or NA, IN, HTTT, or DW? Also post dxdiag. My advice, do not use the default installation directory. For me i created a folder on a desktop where i download some stuff and there is my EU3 folder. It should also make save games more easy to find if you feel the need to edit.
If you do only got base EU3 and no expansions, i strongly advise for you to buy latest expansion.
