As one might anticipate: Betas occasionally contain bugs. And today a bug bit specifically our 2024.5-rc release for windows. As it turns out it doesn't really work, like, at all. 
The broken version has been removed from our backend and should no longer be getting installed. If you are one of the unlucky few that managed to install this beta version while it was up, the remedy is to simply delete this directory:
This will revert you to the old beta and you should be good to go. Sorry for the inconvenience!
