BATTLE RESULTS:
The armies of Byzantium lead by the Emperor himself keep the siege upon Athens along with the remaining troops and Emperor of the Eastern Roman Empire. The last battle was a victory for the combined forces, but not all of the Athenians were dead. Still a regiment of troops were help up behind the long walls of athens, and the entire base defense still remained. It looked to be a long and bloody battle to get inside the gates of Athens, that is until the Wallachians showed up in Attica. Lead by their own head of State with these warriors the allies were able to defeat the entire Athens garrison and standing army. When all said and done even the Duke of Athens himself was captured by the Byzantine army and brought before the emperor. Athens had fallen with no loss of troops for Byzantium, Wallachia, or the Eastern Roman Empire.
RESULTS:
Hellas in hands of Byzantium.
Duchy of Athens HOS is now captured and placed in hands of Byzantium (Hamilcar).

King Alfonso wastes no time in raising an army in Messina, and one so large that it rivals the one garrisoned during peace time in Aragon proper. Local shipping routes and resources are press-ganged into service as Alfonso crosses the short sea-stretch between Messina and Apulia at the head of his armies.
The monarch sets about disciplining his errant vassal in true kingly style and lays seige to the provincial garrison in the southern province. But after a few weeks of fighting, the Neopilitans are bloodied but unbowed, having lost only half of their garrsion.
Garrison in Neapolitan Apulia reduced to 1 base defence.
